The work
Painting inside and out, from walls to decks
We paint the inside and outside of homes and businesses in Naperville and the surrounding suburbs: walls, ceilings, trim and stairs, kitchen cabinets, siding, doors and brick, decks and fences, plus the prep work that decides how long paint lasts, like drywall repair, wallpaper removal and rotted wood. Commercial interiors, storefronts and townhome communities are painted in phases around business hours and residents.
The full list sits in five groups: interior painting, cabinets & prep, exterior painting, decks, fences & wash, commercial & color.

Call to cleanup
How a job runs, from the first call to cleanup
- Step 1
The first call
A person answers, any hour. We ask what needs painting, roughly how much and when, and book a walk-through.
- Step 2
The walk-through
A painter measures, checks surfaces for peeling, stains and soft wood, and talks through colors and sheens.
- Step 3
The written estimate
You get the prep, the named products, the number of coats and anything excluded, in writing.
- Step 4
Prep days
Floors and furniture are covered, repairs made, glossy surfaces sanded and bare spots primed.
- Step 5
Paint days
Two finish coats, cut in by hand and rolled or sprayed, with drying time respected between them.
- Step 6
Final walk and cleanup
We walk the job with you, touch up on the spot and leave labeled touch-up paint behind.

Standards
What we hold every job to
Most paint failures start in the prep, so that is where our standards sit. Nail holes are filled and sanded flat. Glossy trim is scuffed and primed before enamel. Stains are sealed with a stain blocker, not painted over. Exterior wood is washed, scraped to a firm edge and spot-primed, and soft wood is repaired before any coat goes on.
Estimates name the products and the number of coats, so you can hold us to them. Paints come mostly from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams and PPG lines, with Cabot and Sikkens stains outside.

Our guides
Who writes our painting guides
Our painting guides are written and kept up to date by Douglas Woodruff, our painting guides editor. They start from the questions homeowners ask us on the phone and use local, sourced facts: regional climate normals, the city's historic district rules and published cost data, each named in the text.
